Jacoline Gortzak has had years of experience in corporate law and specialises in mergers & acquisitions and private-equity transactions. She has been practising as attorney-at-law since 2001. Since then, Jacoline has advised on dozens of transactions, also for large corporate clients, on both sides of the table.
Specialisation
Jacoline deploys her expertise within Legaltree especially for medium-sized to large enterprises, enterprises where the director-major shareholder itself has control. Jacoline is at her best in those situations as sparring partner for management and shareholders; she is continuously available and is broadly oriented. For buying and selling parties, it is her experience especially which is of such great added value. Because Jacoline knows everything that acquisitions involve, she can work more effectively. A not unimportant aspect is that she keeps emotional aspects strictly separate from business considerations.
She can be deployed on a broad scale; ranging from determination of the correct presentation for selling companies to due diligence investigations, from screening of contractual documents to risks and guarantees, to taking stock of possible hick-ups in the selling stage.

Work experience
In January 2015, Jacoline became a partner at Legaltree. Prior to this she worked for Simmons & Simmons LLP in Amsterdam, working from 2001 onwards for Corporate M&A/Private equity.
