Marc van den Berg specialises in the field of mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, commercial partnerships and other corporate law matters, such as shareholders’ disputes and liability of managing directors and officers. Moreover he provides advice in related fields of law, such as corporate governance and financing issues. In addition to being a widely-experienced adviser, Marc has great expertise in litigation practice, including as deputy judge at the Court of Appeal in The Hague.
Education
Marc graduated from Utrecht University in 1991, after which he enrolled in numerous post-graduate training programmes and courses, on both legal matters and professional skills. Among these are the specialist training courses in corporate and business law and finance and securties law at the Grotius Academy and the NCD-Nyenrode course for supervisory board members. Marc has also given lectures at several internal and external training courses.
Experience
Between 1991 and 2008 Marc was a lawyer with the law firm of AK D (where he became a partner in 1999). Between 2008 and May 2010 he worked as a partner with Dijkstra Voermans. Marc became a deputy judge at the court of appeal in The Hague in 2006.
