Carolien van Weering is both a lawyer and a mediator. She specialises in liability and insurance law and has particularly gained a great deal of knowledge and experience in matters involving doctors’ and hospitals’ professional liability and medical disciplinary law. In that connection she exclusively represents both medical professionals and hospitals in both liability suits and disciplinary proceedings. Carolien moreover has a wide experience in dealing with disputes involving the interpretation of insurance policy conditions, disability insurance policies and personal injury issues in the broadest sense. She has been involved in and provided advice in a great number of legal actions in the above-mentioned fields, always seeking to find the most convenient solution for the client, either by starting legal proceedings or by settling the dispute without court intervention. Finally Carolien specialises in matters involving the Wet Financieel Toezicht (Financial Supervision Act) and the Wet Bescherming Persoonsgegevens (Personal Data Protection Act). Carolien’s partner in Legaltree’s liability law practice group is Antoinette Collignon.
